ASBK Kids and Family Aikido Classes        Ages 6*-13

These classes are open to any children ages 6* to 13. Children ages 6 - 7 are invited to participate but they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who will practice with them. Parents and guardians of all enrolled children are invited to participate in the Kids and Family Aikido Classes for free. In these classes you will learn basic aikido techniques and principles. Instead of learning to kick and strike, you will learn how to defend yourself using the “attacker’s” energy to throw or pin them. You will develop the basic physical and mental skills necessary to learn aikido through regular exercises, aikido techniques, and interactive games. Students may start anytime (monthly dues will be pro-rated, accordingly).

Your Teachers:

Each class will have 2 instructors and will be led by Jennifer Miyashiro Sensei (4th Dan, Asst. Chief Instructor, ASBK) and/or Amy James Sensei (1st Dan). Both have practiced aikido for many years with ASBK. They have experience teaching adult and youth aikido classes, and both are educators outside of the dojo.

Weekly Schedule:

• Tuesday 5:00 pm – 5:45 pm
• Friday  5:00 pm – 5:45 pm

Fees and payments:

• Quarterly  fees, full payment up front: $160 ($20 discount)
• Quarterly  fees, paid monthly $180 (see Registration page for payment schedules)
• Additional siblings practice for 50% off regular price ($80/Quarter if paid in full or $90/Quarter if paid on monthly schedule)
